KCL Event on Intangible Technology Controls in Industry and Academia

Project Alpha at King’s College London will hold a half-day workshop on the subject of intangible technology (export) controls. The event is intended for practitioners in industry and academia and will take place on the 29th of March 2016.
 
The purpose is of the event is twofold:
  1. To examine practical measures that industry and academia can take to implement intangible technology controls. This will include consideration of issues such as approaches to internal compliance, the storage of information (I.e. Cloud computing) and the need for contractural language concerning export controls with research partners, distributors etc. 
  2. To collate views on a study prepared by KCL on the subject of intangible technology controls which is intended to inform the review of the EU regulation, 428/2009. This study is funded by an agency of the Swedish government and a draft of this report will be circulated to those who attend. 
The event is free to attend and is being undertaken under the auspices of the Project Alpha ‘partners’ initiative. The event will also provide attendees with an opportunity to meet other practitioners.
